Roces RFG1 Recreational Figure Skates
|
These skates are made from strong, supple synthetic leather with ample padding around the ankle and tongue making breaking the boots in a thing of the past. Just put them on and skate.
With typical Italian flare for design, these contemporary styled skates will please even the most image conscious of skaters. Fitted with a good quality figure skating blade these are without doubt the most stylish skates on the ice today!
If you are new to skating and looking for your first pair of skates, look no further! These will comfortably take you right through the NISA skating badges 1 to 10 with ease. They are perfect for beginners and recreational skaters for whom foot comfort is a priority. The lacing pattern makes it easy to tighten the boot to the required tension, a much easier system to use than that found on traditional figure skates.
Please note, they are intended as a recreational skate and as such are suitable for all skating styles which do not involve advanced jumps and spins. Skaters at this level should be looking for a skate with ankle support specifically designed for this level of stress.
Roces, pronounced 'Rotches' is a giant skate manufacturing company from Italy. They have been supplying worldwide markets with all types of skates, including figure, hockey, speed and inline skates for over 50 years. By buying a recognised brand from a well respected manufacturer you are sure to get a skate which will keep its good looks and stand the up to the stresses that time and skating put upon it.
Will they Fit
We recommend you choose your usual Euro shoe size, and do not oversize them. The boots are marked in UK and US sizes as well, but we have found these sizes to be incorrect, so we suggest you ignore these and go by the Euro size alone.
Most shoe sellers in the UK use the following conversion from Euro to UK, but do check against your own shoes to be sure as there are significant variations from one retailer to another:

Brand new ice skates come from the factory with what is known as a 'Factory Edge'. This is useable but far from perfect. For optimal performance, all ice skates should be sharpened properly before use.

Our state-of-the- art CAG ONE Profiler will precision hone your skates to a tolerance of 0.01mm. It is impossible to achieve this level of precision with the manual units that you are likely to find at your local ice rink. (Skates will be ground to 1/2" ROH (radius of hollow) unless you specify otherwise. This is the best setting for
most recreational/instructional skaters, however if you require a different ROH, just let us know.)
This service is included in the price of the skates, .
